Privacy Policy
What we collect on oscore.net, why, and the choices you have.
1. Overview and who we are
This policy describes how OsCore LLC, a Missouri limited liability company ("OsCore", "we", "us"), handles personal information on oscore.net. You can reach us at privacy@oscore.net. This policy covers this website. It does not describe the in-app practices of our apps (see section 11).
2. Information we collect
- Waitlist data you submit: your email address, your optional interest selection, the time you gave consent, the version of the consent text, and a salted one-way hash of your IP address. We do not store your raw IP address in the waitlist file.
- Emails you send us: your email address and the content of your message.
- Server logs: our hosting provider automatically records the IP address, date and time, requested URL, user agent, referrer and status code of requests, for security and operations.
- One session cookie: a strictly necessary cookie named
oscore_sidis created when you visit the home page. It is used only to protect the waitlist form from cross-site request forgery. It is Secure, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax and expires when you close your browser. We use no other cookies, and no analytics, advertising or tracking technologies. - Third-party content delivery: to display the site, your browser requests fonts from Google Fonts and scripts from jsDelivr and the Tailwind CDN. Those providers receive your IP address and browser details under their own policies. We make no other third-party requests.
3. How we use information
- To send the launch and product updates you agreed to receive on the waitlist.
- To respond to your inquiries.
- To operate, secure and troubleshoot the site.
- To comply with the law and enforce our terms.
4. Legal bases in plain language
We rely on your consent for the waitlist, on our legitimate interest in running and securing the site and answering messages, and on our need to comply with legal obligations.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only to service providers acting on our behalf (such as hosting and, if enabled, email delivery), to professional advisers, or when required by law or to protect rights and safety. If OsCore is involved in a business transfer, information may be transferred subject to this policy.
6. Retention
Waitlist data is kept until you ask to be removed or until launch communications end, and for no more than 24 months unless you renew your consent. Server logs are kept according to our hosting provider's schedule. Emails are kept as long as needed to handle the matter.
7. Security
Waitlist data is stored in access-restricted files that are denied from public web access. We use HTTPS, restricted file permissions, hashed IP addresses, CSRF protection and rate limiting. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the laws of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and Texas, you may have the right to know and access the personal information we hold about you, to delete or correct it, to obtain a copy, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising and profiling, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information and do not engage in targeted advertising or profiling.
If we decline a request, you may appeal by emailing privacy@oscore.net with "Appeal" in the subject. We respond to appeals within 60 days. Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf with proof of authorization.
9. Canada
If you are in Canada, PIPEDA and applicable provincial laws give you rights to access and correct your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to challenge our compliance. You may contact us at privacy@oscore.net or contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
10. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We do not track users across sites and we do not sell or share personal information, so Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are honored by default.
11. Apps and client work
Apps that OsCore publishes on the App Store have their own in-app privacy disclosures and App Privacy details on their App Store listings. Data handled for client projects is governed by written client agreements, where OsCore acts as a service provider on the client's behalf.
12. Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
13. International transfers
OsCore operates in the United States. If you access the site from outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States.
14. Submitting requests and timelines
Email privacy@oscore.net. We may need to verify your identity. We respond within 45 days, and where permitted we may extend that period once by an additional 45 days with notice to you.
